Methodology
How a hiring trust score is built.
Repost penalty
The same role appearing repeatedly under fresh listings is the classic ghost-job fingerprint. Companies that do it score lower.
Stale-listing penalty
Postings still live but untouched on the employer's own board for over 90 days are usually standing reqs, not real openings. The more of those, the lower the trust score.
Real time-to-close
How long a role stays live, measured from the first and last time we confirmed it. That is the window you actually have to apply in.
What we refuse to count
A page that rate-limits our crawler or hides a role behind an ATS login is filed as unverified. It never moves the score down — only proof that the listing is gone does.
hiring trust = 0.55 × live share + 0.30 × (1 − repost share) + 0.15 × (1 − stale share)An employer appears here only once we hold at least two of their listings, so a single posting can never build or break a reputation. The confidence label shows how many of those listings we have actually re-checked.
High = five or more confirmed re-checks, medium = two to four, low = one, awaiting = we have the listings but have not confirmed a re-check yet.
