Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you are using it on behalf of an employer or an agency, you accept them for that organisation too, and you confirm it authorised you to. If you do not accept them, do not sign up — the free discovery tools are still available to browse without an account.
What this is, and what it is not
StillHiring is a search and judgement tool for job seekers. It finds listings published elsewhere, keeps its own record of whether they are still there, grades them against the profile built from your resume, and helps you prepare material to apply with.
- It is not a job board in the usual sense: we do not take applications. Every listing sends you to the source it came from, and the application is between you and that employer.
- It is not a recruiter, an agent or a party to your application. We do not forward your resume anywhere, we do not represent you, and we do not get paid by employers for sending you anywhere.
- It is not a source of certainty about an employer. Our hiring-trust scores describe what our crawler observed at a point in time, not what a company intends to do next.
Your account
One account per person, with an email address you control. Keep your password to yourself; anything done inside your account is treated as done by you. If you believe somebody else has got in, change the password on the account page first — doing that ends every session the account has, including the intruder's — and tell us through /contact as soon as you notice as well, so the order rows can be looked at. If you cannot get in, /contact from the address you registered with and a temporary password can be issued against the account that address matches; it is shown to an operator once, is not stored, and is meant to be replaced by you on the same page. If your account signs in through Google, your password lives with Google and you can change it there at once; setting a password here too is possible and does not affect Google sign-in. You can delete the account at any time from the account page, which takes the data with it.
We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms, that is abusing the payment flow, or that puts the service or its users at risk. Where the problem is fixable, we will tell you what the problem is and give you the chance to fix it before we act.
What our labels actually mean
This is the honest description of the words we put on a job card, because an “active” badge that nobody can define is worth nothing:
- Read from an employer's own board. Roles published on the employer's Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or equivalent endpoint are taken from that endpoint. The employer is the publisher and the source of the claim; we are reporting what their board returned when we read it.
- Checked. For anything that is not an employer's own board, we fetch the listing URL and look for signs the posting is still real: the page answers, it is not a 404, it does not say the role has closed or been filled, and the title or employer appears on it. We do this when a search runs and again on a nightly sweep.
- Uncertain. The source blocked us, timed out, or we could not read enough of it. Uncertain listings are held back from the feed. A page refusing a crawler is not proof that a job disappeared, and we do not treat it as proof.
- Expired. A check positively found the posting gone. Those leave your feed and are deleted from our database a day later.
None of those words is a guarantee that a role is open when you click, that it will still be open tomorrow, or that the employer will reply. Listings change without notice, employers take pages down without saying why, and some sites simply do not answer automated requests. Verify on the employer's own page before you invest time in an application.
AI output is not advice, and not a promise
Fit grades, match percentages, salary bands, hiring-trust scores, tailored resume drafts, cover letters and interview practice can all involve a language model. Every one of those outputs is an estimate derived from public listings and the data you supplied, not a fact and not a decision.
- No output is a guarantee of an interview, an offer, a salary, or that a listing is genuine.
- You are responsible for reading anything before you send it. A drafted application goes out under your name, and only you can check that it describes you truly.
- Nothing here is legal, tax, immigration or professional career advice.
- A listing discovered with AI assistance has to pass the same live check as any other before it reaches you, and a model is never allowed to state a skill about you that your own resume does not support.
Plans, credit packs and how a payment becomes access
Nothing here holds a card on file, and nothing charges you automatically. Money reaches us either through a payment provider’s own secure page (UPI, card or net banking) or as a direct UPI transfer to the address on your payment sheet, depending on which this deployment has switched on — and you always initiate it yourself. Either way it works like this:
- You choose a plan period or a credit pack and we issue an order reference with an amount and a payment window. A quote that ages out is not honoured; you get a fresh reference instead.
- You pay — on the provider’s page, or from any UPI app, in which case you paste the UTR from your receipt.
- Nothing is granted on the strength of what you tell us. A UTR is something you type, not something we can see, so on the UPI path it is evidence for a person to match rather than a key that opens the account.
- The plan period or the credits switch on when the money is confirmed by whoever can actually see it: on the gateway path, the provider's own signed record of the payment; on the UPI path, a human comparing your UTR against the credits that arrived in our account.
- If the money is not there — a mistyped reference, a transfer that never settled, a receipt reused from someone else's payment — the order is declined and nothing was ever granted, so there is nothing to take back. If a match turns out to have been wrong later, what it granted is removed; if you have already spent some of those credits, the balance is reduced to what remains and never goes below zero.
Reusing another person's receipt, or submitting a reference you know does not cover this order, is fraud and grounds for suspension as well as reversal.
A plan is a fixed period of access bought with one payment — not a subscription that bills you automatically, because nothing here can bill you automatically. Prices are the ones shown at the moment you ask for a quote, and a price change never alters a period you have already paid for.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds
- Nothing renews by itself. When a paid period ends without a fresh payment, the account moves through a short grace window shown in your wallet and then back to Free, keeping your saved jobs, tracking and history.
- Cancelling means not renewing. Cancelling a plan stops the next payment and keeps everything you paid for until that period ends — access is never cut short because you cancelled.
- Credit packs do not expire. Unused scans stay in your wallet, on any plan, and they carry through a downgrade to Free.
- Refunds are decided case by case by the person running this service, not by a policy engine. There is no self-service refund button and no automatic entitlement, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do commit to is this: send the order reference and the receipt for the payment — your UTR, or the payment page's own reference — through /contact, a human reads it, and if the payment was wrong, duplicated, reversed by your own bank, or if the review could not find the money on our side, we take it back — and if the money was yours and the fault was ours, we return it. Ask before your paid period ends; a period you have already used most of is a different conversation from one you were charged for by mistake.
- Where a transfer is genuinely misdirected — wrong reference, wrong amount, paid to the wrong VPA — tell us fast and include your bank's own UTR receipt. A transfer we can see in the statement is a transfer we can act on.
Taxes, where applicable, are on the amounts shown at checkout. We do not issue a GST-seller invoice; your own payment receipt and the order reference in your wallet are the record of the payment.
Usage limits
Some capabilities are counted per calendar month and reset with it: AI-assisted searches, tailored applications, mock interviews and browser alerts. A resume scan is spent when an analysis actually runs — a file that cannot be read, or an analysis that fails, gives the credit back. A plan's monthly scan allowance is credited once per calendar month, so buying a second plan period inside the same month extends your dates without doubling that month's credits; the credits you already hold are unaffected. Free accounts keep unlimited search, saving, tracking and the Hiring Index, with a small monthly allowance of metered AI features.
Limits exist to keep the service affordable for everybody, and the exact numbers shown in your wallet are the ones that apply to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload somebody else's resume or personal data without their permission, or store other people's job-search data in your account;
- hammer the service: no scraping our feed or the Hiring Index for resale, no automation around the order flow, no attempts to work around a meter, a rate limit or a plan gate;
- probe the crawler or the servers — the fetch machinery is not an open proxy, and testing it against anything that is not a listing is off limits;
- misrepresent what our labels mean, e.g. republishing a StillHiring trust score as an employer's endorsement or an audit;
- use the service for anything unlawful, including job listings that discriminate unlawfully or that you are posting to defraud people.
Employers and job sites that want their listings excluded from our crawl can ask through /contact and we will honour it.
Whose content is whose
Your resume and everything you write stay yours. The application material the Copilot assembles for you is yours to use however you like, including outside this site. Job listings and their text belong to the publishers who posted them; we store facts about them and present what we find, and the compiled index — the dedupe keys, verification history and hiring-trust scores we built ourselves — is ours. The software, its design and the StillHiring name are ours; you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them while you have an account.
Availability and changes
The service is provided as available, with no uptime guarantee and no service-level agreement. It runs on scheduled jobs and third-party infrastructure, so crawls, re-checks and alerts can lag or be skipped, and databases and hosts do occasionally go down. Features can be added, renamed or removed, including features on the free tier; if we remove something a paid period was bought for, that is a refund conversation and we will have it.
Liability
To the maximum extent Indian law allows, the service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for lost income, a lost opportunity, a missed deadline, an employer's conduct, or the contents of a third-party listing, and our total liability to you for anything arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the event you are complaining about. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and none of them excludes liability for our own fraud or wilful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we update the text and the “last updated” date above, and where a change is material to money or to your data — a new refund rule, a different payment flow, new data we start holding — we say so on the pricing or account screens as well, not only here. New terms take effect for you at your next payment, or immediately for a free account that keeps using the service. If you disagree with a change, stop using the service and delete the account; that is always available and it is a legitimate answer.
